7. Aquaman
Aquaman has become the butt of many jokes over the years, but a recent makeover as part of DC Comics’ “The New 52” has greatly changed the perception of this character. He’ll soon have his own direct-to-DVD animated movie, while Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa being attached to play him on the big screen should see people finally take Aquaman seriously.
If Momoa is well-received after appearing in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, Aquaman becoming part of Warner Bros.’ DC Comics plans somewhere down the line just makes sense. You have to imagine that a solo movie featuring the character would take place mostly underwater, something which would provide new story opportunities and some stunning visuals, especially in 3D.
