Cowabunga! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Heading Back to the Big Screen Yet Again?

1

It would appear that yet another reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is on the way. But wasn’t there a CGI version released as recently as 2007 you ask? It all begins to make some sort of sense when the name of the production company behind this latest venture is revealed – Platinum Dunes.

Yep, that’s right – producers Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form continue their ‘throw against a wall and see if it sticks’ approach to rebooting favourite cult properties from the past, and now those renaissance artist-monikered heroes in a half-shell are next in line.

Before you all your bang your laptops shut and shove your iPhones back in your pocket in utter disgust, the trio have tapped the two screenwriters of the upcoming Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec. The duo have previously had a solid career in TV (working under the tutelage of J.J. Abrams for a number of Alias) so all is not lost as yet.

  1. This project was announced about two years ago now, it’s just moved a little further along is all. I for one am looking forward to seeing my childhood lunchbox back on the big screen, provided it’s actually a decent film and not another GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra!
