Warner Bros. made a blockbuster announcement yesterday which saw them detail a total of ten DC Comics movies to be released between 2016 and 2020 (if you missed it, click
Some were expected, others weren’t, but it’s an exciting time to be both a comic book fan or someone who has perhaps never even heard of most of these characters. What We Know
It may be less than 18 months away, but we still surprisingly know very little about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Directed by Man of Steel’s Zack Snyder, it’s a sequel of sorts to that movie, albeit with a big new co-star in the form of Ben Affleck’s Batman.
We haven’t heard much about characters from that side of the DC Comics Universe being introduced here (apart from Jeremy Irons as Alfred), but most of Superman’s supporting players will be back. In terms of plot, the title sums up all we know as of right now…
What We Think
The footage shown at this year’s Comic-Con teased a battle between Batman and Superman, but with Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor hovering in the background and rumoured muscle in the form of everyone from Doomsday to Metallo, expect to see these two put their differences aside sooner rather than later.
“Dawn of Justice” may sound like a silly title, but Aquaman, Cyborg and Wonder Woman have all been confirmed as appearing, so this will very much be a prequel to the highly anticipated Justice League movie as well.
