Fantastic trailer for documentary ‘Cleanin’ Up the Town: Remembering Ghostbusters’ released

7

Last year we got to see the unofficial Back to the Future documentary ‘Back in Time‘ which gave a fascinating insight into the fan favourite 30 years after it was released. Now with the release of the new Paul Feig ‘Ghostbusters’ movie later this year, the moment is ripe to have the same treatment for the beloved ghost-hunting franchise.

Bueno Productions have released this extended trailer for their documentary ‘Cleanin’ Up The Town: Remembering Ghostbusters’ which they describe as ‘the definitive documentary that charts how Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2 came to fruition and how these films were made by the people that made them.’

They have interviewed over 70 people throughout a journey over the past few years including Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver Annie Potts, David Margulies, William Atherton, Kurt Fuller and Jason Reitman, Director Ivan Reitman, Producer Michael C. Gross, Visual Effects crew including Richard Edlund, Terry Windell, Dennis Muren and Steve Johnson, musicians Ray Parker Jr and The Bus Boys.

This is a documentary that we really cannot wait to see in full and after watching the trailer below, we’re pretty sure you’ll feel the same way. You can also get involved after the filmmakers have a Kickstarter to help push the project over the line which can be seen here. You can also follow the official goings-on with their Twitter @GhostbustersDoc.

Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think in the comments section below.

  1. I just seen their Kickstarter and I was shocked that fans are sucked into paying
for it including selling their names as documentary creditors for over £10 or more
I think it’s wrong these crowdfunding sources charging fans of popular franchises
for they’re loyalty and support I would rather thank the actors of ghostbusters
at conventions then this selling your soul to the devil ethic it’s like 343 doing
this to Halo anniversary fans by asking them for money to make a documentary
with a very quick honourable mention at the end this is a shame what these
franchises are doing to the fans I probably gonna get butt tones of hate
for writing this but I have my own feelings about this.

  2. I’m looking forward to this film more and more. It was such a classic when I was a kid, that I didn’t know how I would react to this remake. I’ll give it a chance though…
