Ciro Guerra’s third feature film Embrace of the Serpent was nominated for an Oscar earlier this year, and we caught up with the man himself to discuss what implications that can have on both the film and his career, and what the experience was like at the ceremony in LA.
He also speaks about the experiences of shooting in the Amazon, and what it was about the original two ethnographer’s diaries that enticed him in to this particular world.
