Perhaps one of the biggest announcements to come from Marvel today at an event held in Los Angeles was the news that 42 star Chadwick Boseman will bring Black Panther to the big screen in how own movie.

That will be released on November 3rd, 2017, but Marvel being the clever studio that they are won’t make us wait that long to meet this fan-favourite character. Instead, Black Panther will make his introduction (fully costumed) in Captain America 3. There will also be nods to him and his home in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

You have to imagine than an appearance in that sequel is also likely, but that’s speculation for now. Kevin Feige has confirmed that Black Panther WILL play a role in the next Captain America 3 movie though.

The casting of Boseman came out of nowhere, not too dissimilar to how Warner Bros. announced that Ezra Miller had been cast as The Flash in both Justice League and his own solo outing. The African ruler of the fictional nation of Wakanda, Black Panther is someone comic book fans have been clawing to see for years!

Below is our first look at some concept art, giving us an idea of how Black Panther will appear on screen.
