Set to return in the spring on Netflix, the long-awaited return of Arrested Development keeps getting better and better.
We saw a great first official look at the cast earlier in the month, and now Vulture are reporting that Tobias Fünke, himself, David Cross has said that Carl Weathers will be back in the new season.
“All the old friends are back. Carl Weathers is back.”
The new season will see the entirety of the original cast, led by Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Alia Shawkat, Portia de Rossi, David Cross, Tony Hale, Jessica Walter, and Jeffrey Tambor, with Ron Howard returning to narrate.
And Weathers is joining a host of familiar and new faces alike, including Judy Greer, Henry Winkler, Mae Whitman, Scott Biao, Jeff Garlin, and Liza Minnelli, with the brilliant John Slattery cast an as-yet-unknown addition to the already awesome cast.
Arrested Development will be airing on Netflix in the spring, and is set to lead directly into the highly anticipated Arrested Development movie. We can’t wait. Get your Netflix subscription primed: This is going to be amazing.
