Bradley Cooper is reportedly in talks to join Margot Robbie in the highly anticipated ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ prequel, which is now being helmed by ‘Minari’ and ‘Twisters’ director Lee Isaac Chung.
The project, which has been in development at Warner Bros. for several years, will serve as a stylish prelude to Steven Soderbergh’s 2001 ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ — itself a remake of the 1960 Rat Pack classic starring Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.
Carrie Solomon is penning the screenplay, which is expected to unfold in 1960s Europe, offering a retro spin on the sleek, globe-trotting heist world that made the original series a blockbuster sensation.

Originally set to be directed by Jay Roach, the prequel now finds fresh creative energy under Chung’s direction. While plot details remain tightly under wraps and the title has yet to be confirmed, early reports suggest the film will explore how a new generation of con artists came together long before the events of Soderbergh’s Las Vegas-set caper.
The 2001 ‘Ocean’s Eleven’, starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and Julia Roberts, became a global hit and spawned two successful sequels — ‘Ocean’s Twelve’ and ‘Ocean’s Thirteen’ — as well as the 2018 spinoff ‘Ocean’s 8,’ led by Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett.
