Brad Pitt has been cast in the adaptation of ‘Conclave’ helmer Edward Berger’s ‘The Riders.’
Tim Winton’s novel follows a man who moved to Ireland with his family and finds himself searching far and wide after his wife goes missing.
Edward Berger will direct from a screenplay by David Kajganich. Producers include Ridley Scott’s Scott Free, Berger’s Nine Hours, Pitt’s Plan B and Kajganich.

A24 will finance and distribute the film. Production is expected to begin in early 2026 and shoot in multiple European locations.
Pitt’s upcoming movies include ‘F1,’ a racing drama from ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ director Joseph Kosinski. He’s also working on ‘The Continuing Adventures of Cliff Booth,’ a spinoff of Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 film ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.’ David Fincher is directing the movie for Netflix with Tarantino working on the script.
