As we decide which camp we fall into re: Insidious 2, then, here’s our list of the best and the worst five horror sequels.
The Best Of The Bunch
Final Destination 2
Probably my favourite horror sequel of all time, Final Destination 2 does everything a continuation should do, regardless of genre.
It’s bigger, drawing together a larger number of characters; it’s bloodier, opening with one of the most OTT disaster scenarios in cinema and finding ever more gruesome and unlikely ways of re-killing its unlucky survivors; and it adds to the mythology, with the re-introduction of The Candyman himself as creepy mortician William Bludworth.
Never again has the series suggested it is anything more than a directionless killing spree.
