Yesterday we got to hear from Harrison Ford and Screen Writer / Producer Bob Orci on the legacy that their new movie Enders Game leaves. Today it’s the turn of younger cast-members Asa Butterfield and Hailee Stienfeld who talk about their experiences working in such a huge movie with such a prominent and experienced supporting cast.
James Kleinmann also asks them what it was that appealed to them about making the movie in the first place. Asa talks about working through the complexity of his character, how he’s not perfect and how that was a nice challenge to ‘experiment with’. We also find out about how he felt with the pressure that he felt both working with such a legendary cast but also to take on such a well-known book. Hailee talks about the relationship between her character Petra Arkanian and Ender Wiggin (Asa).
Finally they talk about working with Harrison Ford in that sci-fi genre and how they’d like to see Enders Game follow in the Star Wars footsteps.
Enders Game is released this Friday 25th October.
