Antoneta Alamat Kusijanovic debut feature, Murina, is more than its idyllic setting and shows why it picked up the Camera d’Or.
On both writing and directing duties, it sees Kusijanovic re-unite with Gracija Filipović who worked together on the 2017 short, Into the Deep. Set on a secluded island in Croatia we see a toxic family dynamic unfold between Julija (Gracija Filipović) and her controlling father.
We catch up with Antoneta digitally where we talk about the experience of making her first film, working with Gracija and why Glasgow holds special memories for her.
