Casting for comic book movies seems to be never ending in a week that has quite frankly, Kick-Ass week here at HeyUGuys! Variety are reporting this evening that Angela Bassett is the latest to be cast in Green Lantern which is being directed by Martin Campbell. According to the trade paper, ‘Bassett will play Dr. Amanda Waller, a government agent who’s a staple of the DC Comics series‘.
The Green Lantern stars Ryan Reynolds as the lead character with Mark Strong, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard and Tim Robbins also confirmed. We caught up with Mark Strong at the Kick-Ass European Premiere on Monday night and got him to talk a little about the movie. You can see the footage here.
The Green Lantern is scheduled for release summer 2011 so still a while to wait.
