Not to be outdone by their Distinguished Competition following the release of that awesome trailer for Arrow, Marvel has today unveiled a first look at what’s to come in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. when it returns to the small screen later this Autumn. It’s a relatively brief preview (hopefully a full trailer will soon follow), but packed full of cool reveals nonetheless.

A lot of new Imhumans show up as Daisy – formerly known as Skye – looks to bring them altogether, while the final few seconds feature the debut of comic book character Lash.

He’ll be played by Matthew Willig and is described as a monstrous Inhuman whose loyalties remain ambiguous. A fairly new creation from the comics, the glimpse we get of him in this promo appears to indicate that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is adapting him pretty faithfully.

Season three of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will also see the formation of the Secret Warriors as that team of superheroes finally assembles, something which should dramatically alter the status quo of a series which has so far focused mostly on regular human characters.

However, with a show like The Flash, it’s become clear that the series – which has been struggling with ratings for a while now – has to adapt, and it looks pretty damn good!
