Today sees the unveiling of Tintin’s US poster artwork and boy is it exciting. Certainly more dark and sinister looking than the UK’s offering, boy wonder à l’orange is set against a puddle drenched harbour background dressed in a long coat that may have been borrowed from your local flasher’s wardrobe.
It’s all very ominous isn’t it? Is La Roux playing Tintin?! Why isn’t Snowy on a lead in a public place?! All is to be revealed in the coming months we imagine.
Tintin hits UK shores 26th October 2011 and stars Jamie Bell, Daniel Craig, Nick Frost, Andy Serkis, Simon Pegg, Mackenzie Crook, Daniel Mays & Toby Jones.
What?! No way, I totally disagree, I like the UK poster a lot more! I love the design with the globe and the combination of the flaming pirate ship and the smoking airplane, it has a much more epic adventuresome feel. This one is just dark and only shows a non-flaming pirate ship in the background and that’s it. It’s definitely not cooler than the UK one! 🙂 At least that’s my opinion…
Whenever I see a globe in a poster, I think of Around 80 Days Around The World…which has a rather flaccid inducing quality don’t you think?!
