Our lucky US cousins are already getting their first look at Spike Jonze’s fiercely awaited adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s classic Where the Wiid Things Are, and initial indications proclaim it to be a triumph. I don’t think it was in any doubt that Jonze would bring his considerable aesthetic talents to this revered work, and all of the trailers and images pointed the way to something special.
Newsweek have a wonderful look at a collection of behind the scenes photos which, along with some beautiful shots of the film itself, are as compelling as they are evocative of the texture and vividness of Jonze’s Wild world.
