Alison Brie has been added to the ever-growing cast of Amazon’s ‘He-Man’ project.
Brie will play Evil-Lyn, the key villain in Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films’ live-action take on ‘Masters of the Universe.’
She joins Nicholas Galitzine who leads the series as He-Man, while Camila Mendes will play the role of Teela, the captain of the royal guard and possible romantic interest.

Based on the 1982 action figure. Plot details are being kept under wraps. However, according to a prior synopsis from the studio, the movie follows Prince Adam a.k.a. He-Man, who crashes to Earth in a spaceship as a child and, decades later, returns to his home planet to defend it from the evil forces of the baddie known as Skeletor. But to defeat the powerful villain, he needs to uncover the mysteries of his past and become He-Man, referred to in this world as “the most powerful man in the universe.”
Evil-Lyn serves as Skeletor’s second-in-command, wielding a wand with a crystal orb to perform the dark arts. Meg Foster portrayed the character in the 1987 live-action movie.
Travis Knight, the filmmaker behind ‘Bumblebee’ is stepping up to take the director’s chair Chris Butler is writing the screenplay after David Callaham and the Nee brothers first attempted a shot at the script.
