We Steal Secrets: The Story Of WikiLeaks is released in cinemas around the UK on Friday 12th July, and we sat down with director and acclaimed documentary filmmaker Alex Gibney to discuss the film that looks over the whistleblowing saga of Bradley Manning, Julian Assange and the secrets the US government had tried to keep.

On top of discussing the to’s and fro’s of making a documentary on a subject that is still ongoing, we talked to Alex about the current situation with Edward Snowden, and the way the internet can and will affect the world and the way the media assassinates the character of whistleblowers rather than examining the information that the people have exposed.
