Sky has launched a second trailer and a host of new images for season 2 of ‘A Discovery of Witches’ featuring Teresa Palmer and Matthew Goode.

Based on Deborah Harkness’s ‘All Souls’ book trilogy, Teresa Palmer and Matthew Goode reprise their roles of Diana and Matthew. When we left the pair they were making a time-jump for their own freedom. The trailer proves the pair successfully landed in the 16th Century.

Season 2 will follow Diana as she seeks out “England’s most powerful witch” to aid her journey, while she and Matthew continue their search for the Book of Life.

Tom Hughes joins the cast of season 2 and will play Kit Marlowe, a poet and playwright. Steven Cree, Sheila Hancock and James Purefoy also join.

Purefoy will play Matthew’s stepfather Philippe De Clermont, who is the founder of the Congregation, while Cree portrays vampire Gallowglass De Clermont. Hancock will star as the elder witch Goody Alsop.
