Netflix and Marvel recently unveiled their plans to create a number of 13-episode series’ featuring Daredevil, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, culminating in The Defenders (further details can be found in the full press release by clicking here). The question now is which actors will be chosen to portray these iconic characters; will they go for young unknowns – similar to Stephen Amell in Arrow – or will Nexflix bring big names to these as they’ve done with shows like House of Cards and Orange is the New Black? We don’t know at this point, but here are five casting suggestions featuring actors you will without a doubt recognise, for Luke Cage!
Good list, most of the time i find the authors are way off with who they think can fill these roles, but this I have no argument with. With regards to Maggie Cohen however, I fail to see how a series with a ltd run, and ultimately ltd appeal (perhaps to non comic-geeky folks like myself) on a pay service such as netflix would garner more attention than one of the highest rated dramas ever to appear on cable television…There is no way Jessica Jones gets more exposure than TWD. Just saying, good list though.
