The Bourne LegacyThe first trailer for The Bourne Legacy hit back in February, and by all accounts, made it one of the biggest non-superhero blockbusters to look forward to this summer.

Jeremy Renner continues his rising recognition by taking over the franchise, with a supporting cast headed up by Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Albert Finney, Oscar Isaac, Joan Allen, Scott Glenn, and David Strathairn.

The studio has uploaded a brand new trailer for the film introduced by Jeremy Renner, and it is immense.

“The narrative architect behind the Bourne film series, Tony Gilroy, takes the helm in the next chapter of the hugely popular espionage franchise that has earned almost $1 billion at the global box office: The Bourne Legacy. The writer/director expands the Bourne universe created by Robert Ludlum with an original story that introduces us to a new hero (Jeremy Renner) whose life-or-death stakes have been triggered by the events of the first three films. For The Bourne Legacy, Renner joins fellow series newcomers Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Stacy Keach and Oscar Isaac, while franchise veterans Albert Finney, Joan Allen, David Strathairn and Scott Glenn reprise their roles.”

Directed by Tony Gilroy, and co-written by Tony and Dan Gilroy, The Bourne Legacy will be released on 3rd August in the US, followed by on 13th August here in the UK. It’s going to be brilliant, so if this had dropped off your radar since February, put it back on right now. Jeremy Renner is a true king among men. Enjoy.

[Update: Apple have also put out an almost identical trailer, minus the Renner introduction, but with an additional awesome motorbike stunt at the 2:20 mark.]
