The Dark Knight Rises finally entered theatres across the world yesterday, bringing to an end Christopher Nolan’s epic Batman trilogy that started back in 2005 with Batman Begins.
The film has been deservedly earning largely terrific reviews in the past few days, and I can’t recommend how much you must go see it for yourself.
It truly is the perfect conclusion to the greatest trilogy in the history of cinema.
Warner Bros. have released three new neat TV spots as the film enters theatres, which could well be the last spots we’ll see from the film, embedding into them the critical acclaim it’s already been receiving.
“Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ “The Dark Knight Rises” is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy. It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act. But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane.”
Christopher Nolan is behind the camera one last time, directing from a script he and brother Jonathan Nolan co-wrote, with a story by the director and David S. Goyer.
Christian Bale of course returns for one final outing as the Dark Knight, supported by the cast-of-the-year in the form of Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, and Marion Cotillard.

The Dark Knight Rises is now playing in regular and IMAX theatres across the UK and US. This is one you’ll want to see on the big screen as soon as possible. I have a feeling we’ll all be discussing it for weeks and months to come. I can’t wait to see it again.
