9. Daken: Dark Wolverine
Hugh Jackman has hinted that his time as Wolverine might soon be coming to an end, and here’s a way of continuing the franchise without the stigma which would inevitably come with recasting the role. Daken is Wolverine’s son who he only actually found out about fairly recently, and he’s not a nice guy.
In fact, he’s so bad, that his father recently drowned and killed him to stop him hurting anyone else. For a time though, Daken tied to walk the path of a hero, but only for selfish means. With a few alterations here and there, this is a character who could definitely be retooled for the big screen, especially as the anti-hero is arguably even more popular than the straightforward superhero. Of course, now that Sony are moving ahead with villain-centric movies (Sinister Six and Venom), perhaps there’s no need to hold back and Fox can bring the “Dark Wolverine” to a movie as is.
