8. Elektra
While not a direct sequel to Daredevil, Elektra did continue the story of one of that movie’s main characters, while a deleted scene even touched upon her relationship with The Man Without Fear. Sadly, Elektra’s solo outing – which really should have been something very special and unique based on her comic book adventures – proved to be as ill-advised as Fox’s previous take on this corner of the Marvel Universe thanks to a silly plot, terrible acting and a general lack of quality. But hey, at least Jennifer Garner looked great in the costume. That’s something, right? Right?! Anyway, along with Catwoman, it was movies like Elektra which are now the reason why we still don’t see anywhere near enough female superhero characters on the big screen. For shame!
