Max Dillon

As Spider-Man swings into his fifth major motion picture appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, we thought it would be appropriate to also take a look back on some of the not so “Spectacular” moments from the last four movies ahead of what promises to be a sequel packed full of great ones (if you missed our post on the ten best, click here).

HeyUGuys’ own Stefan Pape gave the movie a very positive review (you can have a read of that by clicking here), and other critics have been kind to the sequel for the most part so far as well. As a result, fans are now definitely anticipating coming out of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 with some new memories to cherish.

However, just like the comic books, there have been many bumps in the road throughout both Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy and the new franchise which Marc Webb kicked off in 2012 with The Amazing Spider-Man. Be sure to let us know below whether or not you agree or disagree with our suggestions!

10. The Not So “Amazing” Costume

Spider-Man Costume

There’s a good reason why Spider-Man is one of only a few heroes go have never changed the design of their main costume over the years; it’s a timeless classic, and works perfectly in live-action. Why exactly Marc Webb decided on such a drastic redesign is baffling then, and the result was an ugly costume which infuriated fans from the very first set photo. Sure, we were supposed to believe that this was something high school student Peter had made himself, but the material looked ugly, the trainers daft, and the general design just unappealing. In what is perhaps a sign that both Webb and Sony have realised their mistake, the sequel features a costume which is even more faithful to the comic books than the three slightly different versions we saw across Sam Raimi’s trilogy. Perfection, at last!
