7. “The New 52”
“The New 52” was a line-wide relaunch which took place back in 2011. It reset the DC Universe, making it only five years old and wiped away decades worth of confusing continuity issues in the process. This included taking the Justice League back to basics, and when Darkseid and his forces invade Earth, the team is brought together member by member.
It’s a time honoured tradition in superhero comic books that they fight when they first meet (remember Iron Man taking on Thor in Avengers Assemble?), so who better to break up a feuding Batman and Superman than Wonder Woman? They could then put their differences aside to take on an even greater threat, but we’ll have more on that a little later on in this list…
