Like the novel it’s based on, the Fifty Shades Of Grey movie looks set to be a hit. With a budget of $40 million, analysts are already predicting that the R-Rated flick will open with upwards of $60 million. That’s just in North America too, and this is one movie you can already guarantee will be getting a sequel or two.
The unusual relationship between Christian Grey and Ana Steele got us thinking about some other odd pairings on the big screen. Sometimes a couple is so convincing you wonder why they’re not together in real life. Other times, they have nothing in the way of chemistry. Then there are those which are just plain weird…
You’ll find ten of the best (worst?) examples of those below. It could be that they are creepy, unusual, or just wrong, but we think that you will definitely agree with us when we say that they’re all very, very unusual.
Seth MacFarlane’s Ted is a far cleverer film than most give it credit for. In really no time at all, the Family Guy creator somehow makes us believe that a walking, talking teddy bear really could exist in our world. As a result, it’s oddly not all that hard to buy into him dating a blonde bombshell like Jessica Barth’s Tami-Lynn.
That makes it no less weird of course. Why is she attracted to the foul mouth teddy? Without getting into too much detail, perhaps it’s his skills in the bedroom? Ted is after all seen to be quite handy with a parsnip – we’ll say no more – and it’s kind of hard NOT to fall in love with him!
