10 Things We Want To See In X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

9. Nightcrawler

Nightcrawler doesn’t necessarily have any notable connections to Apocalypse (despite playing a pretty major role in the “Age of Apocalypse” timeline…), but fans have been demanding a return to the big screen for the character ever since he made his debut in X-2.

Alan Cumming hasn’t expressed an awful lot of interest in reprising the role, and as wonderful as he was, it’s fair to say that fans would happily accept the teleporting mutant being recast as this point. The White House opening from the movie mentioned above is proof enough that he’s visually interesting enough to warrant getting more screentime, while his friendship with Wolverine was left mostly unexplored in the X-Men follow-up, so it would be great if we got the chance to see that expanded upon.
