Here's what you need to know about the Suicide Squad before David Ayer's big screen adaptation in 2016.

1. Deadshot

Deadshot

Floyd Lawton will likely be the lead in Suicide Squad (similar to Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy for example), and the hired assassin has a storied history in the DC Comics Universe.

He uses a variety of weapons, including two wrist mounted guns which have become a staple of his appearance over the years. His main goal is to kill Batman and he’s tried to take out the Dark Knight a number of times with little success. His skills as a marksman and his disregard for human life serve to advance the Suicide Squad’s goals, and it’s his desire to die in spectacular fashion which is ultimately his main reason for joining the team.

He’s not suicidal, but simply doesn’t care whether he lives or dies; going out in style very much appeals to Deadshot, and he should be a fascinating character to finally see on the big screen.

  1. dredd’s rating had nothing to do with the fact that it bombed, it was poor marketing efforts from the studio and the fact that it was only available in 3D at a lot of theaters.

  3. id rather watch a movie with the actors from arrow then big name actors wouldnt feel right after seeing them in arrow and they did a great job so why change it for big name actors that will probably just ruin it like most big names actors do to comic book heroes

  4. It’s on the internet who’s been cast, and for what role already. Apparently the Joker is coming back, and it’s Jared Leto. (?) Dunno. It’s the internet. Take that with a grain of salt.

Also, as someone who knows almost nothing of the comic book property this is based on, I’d personally hope for an R rating. I’m sick of Disney/Marvel ‘childing’ down everything for a buck. I hope the DC people at least grow some balls and don’t do that as much. Forcing a movie to be PG/PG-13 is always a bad idea. Not everything has to be vile, gory,(or sexy), etc. but some things should be. It helps tell their story.

  5. This movie will not be like Guardians, because is about villains. And I really want to see it, for so many reason you said like Harley Quinn, their cast and the possible plot. I think The Joker will be the villain because he isn’t a member and he’s too dangerous. Too bad DC just make us wait :´(
