3. Moon Knight
On the surface, the visual similarities between Batman and Moon Knight could put Marvel off from ever bringing Marc Spector to the big screen. However, look past that and there are plenty of reasons why this character deserves his own movie.
His mental problemsmake this one difficult though, and how a movie would go about addressing his split personalities and sadistic tendencies (in one battle, he carved off the face of one of his enemies with a crescent moon shaped dart) make it particularly challenging.
Moon Knight’s connection to ancient Egyptian Gods and his past as a mercenary could help to differentiate this from the likes of the Caped Crusader and Daredevil though, and Marvel have the opportunity – as long as they’re willing to address some of the character’s many issues – to create something very unique here. Warren Ellis’critically acclaimed take on the hero has very much rejuvenated him, and could make a good starting point for a Moon Knight movie or even his own series on Netflix.
