9. Deadpool
Deadpool is an obvious candidate for a movie and is definitely considered a risky property, so let’s get him out of the way early.
Fox botched his introduction in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but a leaked screenplay which featured the unhinged mercenary making fun of those events was met with a very positive response and utilised characters like Colossus and many of Deadpool’s supporting cast to great effect.
Ryan Reynolds wants to star in the movie, and though a string of flops like Green Lantern have diminished his leading man status, the studio still has the potential for a hit on their hands here. Sure the character is weird, violent and a little crazy, and Fox are apparently wrestling with the decision to make this R-Rated or PG-13.
However, either would work, and it’s about time that the Merc with the Mouth finds the big screen success he deserves. Otherwise, even comic fans will lose interest…
