4. The Inbetweeners
What were they thinking? Like some of the other comedies listed here, MTV’s remake of The Inbetweeners was completely devoid of charm and a poor imitation of the original.
What made the British version so funny was gone, and the Americanisation of the characters and scenarios they found themselves in resulted in a generic and bland comedy which failed to resonate with anyone. US viewers who had never even seen or heard of the series created by Damon Beesley and Iain Morris didn’t like this take on The Inbetweeners, and it was thankfully ended after a single season.
When it aired in the UK, the response was predictably not good…
