Spider-Man 2

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will mark the iconic Marvel superhero’s fifth major solo movie following Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy and 2012’s reboot, The Amazing Spider-Man.

Across the course of these four movies, there have been a lot of “Sensational” and “Spectacular” moments for Spider-Man, thrilling both old and new fans alike. For some, Spider-Man was their first, while others may have been introduced to Peter Parker for the first time a decade later courtesy of Marc Webb.

Everyone is of course hoping that there will be even more “Astonishing” moments for the “Friendly Neighbourhood” hero in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, especially as the movie got a big thumbs up from HeyUGuys’ own Stefan Pape (you can have a read of that by clicking here).

For now though, we’ve decided to take a look back at ten of the very best moments (our top ten worst can be found here) from Spidey’s previous big screen adventures. Agree? Disagree? As always, let us know below!

10. Stan Lee’s Cameo

Stan Lee

Stan Lee has made a cameo appearance in nearly every single Marvel movie, but his appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man is perhaps the most inventive and amusing one yet! As Spidey and The Lizard battle it out through Peter’s school, the oblivious librarian (Lee) continues going about his work while listening to some classical music through a pair of headphones. Spider-Man saves him by catching a piece of debris with his webbing, before being flung right past him as he makes his exit. It’s a very, very clever sequence, and both the way it is choreographed and how the action blends seamlessly to the librarian’s music is a stellar bit of directing from Marc Webb. Of all of the cameo appearances made by Spider-Man’s creator – both speaking and non-speaking – this is without a doubt the most memorable.
