2. Trevor (Iron Man 3)
When Ben Kingsley was cast as The Mandarin, some fans were a little disappointed that Marvel had dropped his Chinese origin, but were overjoyed that they had chosen such a fantastic actor. Everything we saw in the various stills, trailers and TV spots seemed to indicate that we would be getting a suitably terrifying take on the iconic villain, but the fact that they managed to keep his true identity a secret was really quite amazing.
In the process of the movie, it was revealed that Kingsley’s Mandarin was in fact…a British actor called Trevor! It was a hilarious and quite simply genius twist, which sadly wasn’t appreciate by some fuming fanboys. Marvel taking a racially stereotypical character and giving him such a unique and unexpected twist deserves to be applauded, but some still can’t forgive the studio. It’s odd though that all those Mandarin fans didn’t make themselves known until AFTER the release of Iron Man 3!

Yeah, no. Top 10 moments from comic movies that I felt like putting into a clickvertising list, sure.
Collector scene, granted it’s been close to two decades since I read comics books, but the first thing I did when I got home was google who the hell that was at the end. Read it all, and still had no idea who it was.
Days of Future Past tie in was probably my favorite, giving additional credit to it because I didn’t have to wait through the entirety of the credits to see it! However the fact the author says The Wolverine is the movie the fans want? Yeah… got to disagree like a billion percent with that.
So am I the only one that remembers that Superman killed all three of the Kryptonians in the end of Superman II?
