9. Bridge Jump (2 Fast 2 Furious)
Sequels always face the challenge of topping what’s come before, and with the focus still very much on the races at this point in the franchise, how on Earth could 2 Fast 2 Furious top the thrilling ones we’d seen in the first movie?
This opening bout made it clear that the follow-up wasn’t going to pull any punches as Paul Walker’s Brian O’Conner battled it out with a number of other racers through the streets of Miami. If you can forgive some of the not so great dialogue and special effects scattered throughout, this is a thrilling sequence which features a neat twist as fan-favourite O’Connor manages to nab the lead in the over the top and edge of your seat bridge jump which easily makes this one of the series’ most enjoyable races.
