It’s almost time for Patty Jenkins to come and save the downtrodden DCU with her take on Wonder Woman. Though the films of Zack Snyder have been visual spectacles the uneven tone and gloomy sensibilities of the Batman, Superman and Suicide Squad film have made the wider cinematic universe difficult to engage with.
Not to say they haven’t made their money back, the marketing juggernaut which carried them forth meant that was always going to happen. However with Wonder Woman less than a month away hopes are high that DC will have a breakout film to set the light-hearted tone for the films to come.
There’s a final trailer out in the wild, released as part of the MTV Awards last night, and it shows off the grand scope of the production, along with more hints of what Gal Gadot and Jenkins have in store.
Wonder Woman is set for release June 2nd 2017. I’d mark that date in your diary film fan friends. Here’s the new, final trailer.
Final Wonder Woman Trailer

Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
Patty Jenkins directs the film from a screenplay by Allan Heinberg, story by Zack Snyder & Allan Heinberg and Jason Fuchs, based on characters from DC. Wonder Woman was created by William Moulton Marston.
