A heartfelt first look trailer and poster for Wonder, starring Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson and Jacob Tremblay has arrived and it tugs at the heart strings almost straight away as well as raising a few anger issues.

Based on the novel by R. J. Palacio and directed and co-written by The Perks of Being a Wallflower’s Stephen Chbosky, Wonder stars Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson, Jacob Tremblay, Mandy Patinkin, Daveed Diggs in a touching story focusing on one boy’s struggle with his facial deformity amongst his peers and his parents (Roberts and Wilson) unquestionable love and support to make him feel as normal as possible.

The emotional touching trailer follows young August at school, an outcast because of the way he looks but still mentally strong as his journey, with support from his family finally see’s him accepted amongst a few and making some new friends along the way.

The poster, which you can view below, is simple yet effective with a lone August standing on a plain blue background wearing a helmet to hide his deformity.
