To mark the release of Spetembers of Shiraz on 18th July, we’ve been given a DVD bundle containing The Railway Man, Testament of Youth and The Boy in Striped Pyjamas to give away.
Based on true events, the story follows a secular Jewish family caught in the Islamic revolution in Iran – and their heroic journey to overcome and ultimately escape from the deadly tyranny that swept their country and threatened to extinguish their lives at every turn.
Suspicions and paranoia are rife in 1979 Tehran, Iran. The revolution is at hand and Jewish jeweller Isaac Amin (Adrien Brody) is arrested without warning. Accused of spying for Israel, he is taken to a secret prison where he faces brutal interrogation. Farnez (Salma Hayek) is left to make sense of what has happened to her husband and to try and secure his release so that their family may escape this new world of fear and repression.
