David Frankl’s new film has a bereaved Will Smith communicating with an unfair universe. Following a tragic event he seeks solace and the meaning of Love, Time and Death, writing letters to them as if they were real people, in order that he can make sense of his life.a

Guess what happens?

The first trailer for Frankl’s film shows off the stellar cast, which has Helen Mirren playing the most glamorous incarnation of Death thus far, Kate Winslet, Edward Norton and many more. It looks charming, heart-warming and certainly to be Will Smith’s best film out this year.

When a successful New York advertising executive (Will Smith) experiences a deep personal tragedy and retreats from life entirely, his colleagues devise a drastic plan to force him to confront his grief in a surprising and profoundly human way.

Will Smith leads a great cast including Edward Norton, Keira Knightley with Kate Winslet, Helen Mirren, Michael Peña and Naomie Harris.
