London played host to the UK premiere of Max Joseph’s debut feature We Are Your Friends this evening and the cast and crew were out in force.
Zac Efron is our leading man, playing a DJ whose new friendship with Wes Bentley’s character leads to the collapse of his friendships and dreams. Emily Ratajkowski, Shiloh Fernandez, Alex Shaffer, Jonny Weston, and Jon Bernthal also star in the film, which is out in UK cinemas on the 27th of August.

We Are Your Friends is set in the worlds of electronic music and the Hollywood nightlife, where an aspiring 23-year-old DJ named Cole spends his days scheming with his childhood friends and his nights working on the one track that will set the world on fire. All of this changes when he meets a charismatic but damaged older DJ named James who takes him under his wing. Things get complicated, however, when Cole starts falling for James’ much younger girlfriend, Sophie. With Cole’s forbidden relationship intensifying and his friendships unravelling, he must choose between love, loyalty, and the future he knows he’s destined for.
