Göteborg, Sweden – Started in 2007, Way Out West has become one of the biggest summer festivals in Europe. The central location in Slottsskogen city park allows it to combine concerts in the park, with Way Out West Films and Stay Out West, after-hour club gigs around the city.

This year’s musical lineup features a variety of popular music artists like the Swedish folk duo, First Aid Kit, Beck, Florence and the Machine, and Patti Smith in addition to many more.

New this year, is Way Out West Music Conference, a meeting place for music and film where lectures and discussions will take place together with internationally renowned profiles.

For the fifth year in a row, Way Out West Film continues to flourish, presenting an amazing variety of films that appeal to the festival goer. Like previous years, music related films remain the core of the programming, but in keeping with festival tradition, the line-up continues to feature films with a social and political perspective.
