Our American friends have the chance to open J.J. Abrams love letter to seventies set cinema in a few days time, something we in the wider world will have to wait for another couple of months for.
Nonetheless there’s a keen sense of excitement for this film, with monsters and nostalgia promised along with the obligatory lens flare fest and Paramount have just sent us an extended clip onto the walls of the internet, from which we scrape and present to you.
Many people I know are not watching anything from the film before it hits but I’ve seen most of it and this clip is a decent look at the main players in the film and Abrams has dutifully recreated the atmosphere from the era – all we need to know now is has it told an engaging story to go along with it. Chances are he has.
