Yesterday we posted the first of BAFTA’s own videos introducing the nominees in some of the main categories of the 2012 awards and now we have two more to get you up to speed.

Chief amongst the films on show here, and the only one to straddle the two categories, is Asif Kapadia’s Senna which didn’t make a dent in the Oscar’s list (long or short) but is up for both Best Documentary and Outstanding British Film.

Other films being celebrated include Steve McQueen’s Shame and Lynne Ramsay’s soul-eviscerating We Need to Talk About Kevin. It’s another strong year for the est Documentary category with the aforementioned Senna up against Martin Scorsese’s take on George Harrison and James Marsh’s Project Nim.

Here’s the videos, see you on the 12th.
