This weekend the world of American football has its biggest night with the Super Bowl. For movie fans this has long meant a first, or at the very least a new look, at some of the year’s most anticipated movies. Never one to miss out on a prime time slot Michael Bay’s latest Transformers film (full title of which is Transformers The Last Knight) will air a new minute long trailer, and there’s a sneak peek of this which has just gone online.

Mark Wahlberg and Stanley Tucci are reprising their roles from 2014’s Age of Extinction. They will be joined by former cast members Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and John Turturro. Laura Haddock, Isabela Moner and Jerrod Carmichael are new to the world of CG Robot destruction, but they are in the company of an actual Knight, Sir Anthony Hopkins.

Following a soft reboot of the series three years ago The Last Knight follows Age of Extinction into new territory. And let’s face it – any film that meshes transforming robots and King Arthur has to worth a look, right? Time will tell… but the new trailer is more of the same spectacle and ultra-complicated machinery whirring about the place looking menacing.

Transformers The Last Knight will be released in cinemas on the 23rd of June, with the ‘long-awaited’ spin-off movie focusing on Bumblebee aiming for a June 8, 2018 release. And wait! There’s more Tranformers to come. Plans are afoot for another film in the long running saga coming our way in June of 2019. Unbelievable.

Here’s the new TV spot, which will be seen in full on Sunday night.
