Neon has released the new official trailer for the upcoming post-apocalyptic film The Bad Batch, which you can view below!

The film is the latest from acclaimed filmmaker Ana Lily Amirpour, the director of A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night, the 2014 vampire film which won critical acclaim as well as countless awards. Her new film tells the story of a young woman (Suki Waterhouse) who is captured in a Texas wasteland by a group of cannibals who take her into their way of life and she soon begins to adapt to it. The film made its debut last year at both the Venice and Toronto Film Festivals and we like many others are incredibly excited to see what Amirpour has come up with for her sophomore effort.

Suki Waterhouse (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies) leads the eclectic cast which also features Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Giovanni Ribisi (Ted), Keanu Reeves (John Wick 2), Yolond Ross (How To Get Away With Murder) and Diego Luna (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) as well as an extended cameo from Golden Globe Winner Jim Carrey (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind).

Here’s the official synopsis:

The highly anticipated follow-up to Amirpour’s acclaimed directorial debut, A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT, THE BAD BATCH follows Arlen (Waterhouse) as she is unceremoniously dumped in a Texas wasteland fenced off from civilized society. While trying to orient her unforgiving environment, she is captured by a savage band of cannibals and quickly realizes she’ll have to fight her way through her new reality. As Arlen adjusts to life in ‘the bad batch’ she discovers that being good or bad mostly depends on who you’re standing next to.

The Bad Batch opens on June 23rd in the US, with the UK release set for later this year.
