For the past few years we’ve asked the good and the great of the online film community to send in their top 10 films of the year, and it’s our pleasure to announce that the annual tradition will continue as we near the end of 2014.

Whilst the 2012 victor was Skyfall, last year’s landslide winner was Gravity, and this year we’ve once again been blessed with a bountiful variety of films from which to crown our 2014 champion.

For the newbies not familiar with the way we do things, the rules are simple: Firstly, you have to be contributing to a film site (or have your own wesbite). Secondly, we are going by UK release date only. That means films like Birdman and Whiplash – incidentally the best film I’ve seen this year – aren’t eligible, but films like 12 Years A Slave are fair game. To be safe, refer to www.launchingfilms.com.

Deadline day for entries is Thursday 18th December at 12:00pm, so be sure to get your lists to us by then.

You can send them through to heyuguystop10@heyuguys.co.uk, or alternatively you can DM me on Twitter @awarmann.
