A new TV spot for Ant-Man has been released today, and it features lots of fun new footage from the Marvel movie. The minute long preview comes hot on the heels of a batch of new stills (which you can see by clicking here), not to mention a rumour about Spider-Man’s possible role in final Phase Three movie.

Apparently, Ant-Man will feature references to both Spider-Man’s existence and Oscorp, the company which is run by Norman Osborn, who is of course better known as the Green Goblin. That should strictly be taken as a rumour for now of course, and Spidey is still expected to make his debut in Captain America: Civil War.

Talking of Spider-Man, a new report has revealed that Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies) and Ted Melfi (St Vincent) are the frontrunners to direct the reboot which is set to be released in 2017. However, also in the mix are Vacation reboot writers and directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein, while a new name has been thrown into the mix in the form of relative unknown commercials helmer Jon Watts.

Who ends up landing that gig remains to be seen, especially as we still don’t have a Spider-Man yet! As of right now, Asa Butterfield and Tom Holland are still said to be Marvel and Sony’s favourites for the role.
