As if it wasn’t already exciting enough that director Paul Greengrass and star Matt Damon are reuniting for the fifth Bourne movie, the latest casting addition is sure to get you hyped.

Variety reports that Tommy Lee Jones has joined the cast as a superior officer at the CIA.

There aren’t any further details than that available as of right now, but it’s possible that he’ll play a similar role in the movie to Edward Norton, Chris Cooper, Brian Cox and David Strathairn. Either way, the cast of the movie keeps getting better and better. Ex Machina star Alicia Vikander recently joined the cast, while Julia Stiles is set to reprise her role.

The road to this Bourne movie hasn’t been an easy one. For years, it was rumoured as happening, but that ultimately didn’t pan out and that’s when The Bourne Legacy happened. Starring Jeremy Renner, it was pretty terrible, but performed well enough for a sequel.

Unfortunately for that movie, the follow-up was put on hold and its release date was given to this collaboration between Greengrass and Damon. It’s hard to blame Universal for that!

Production on the currently untitled Bourne movie is set to begin later this summer, and the release date has been set for July 29th, 2016. Stay tuned to HeyUGuys for more casting…
