Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to get ridiculously excited that Mission: Impossible 6 is on the way and has begun filming in Paris with Tom Cruise getting up his usual stunt shenanigans!

Filming under the working title of “Gemini”, M:I-6 sees Cruise return once again as Special Agent Ethan Hunt who has been seen whizzing around the city of streets of the French capital on a motorcycle. Also in tow is Sean Harris, villain from Rogue Nation, who looks as if he is being transferred to a new prison facility by Cruise’s Hunt in the photos. Writer/Director Christopher McQuarrie, who directed the fifth installment, was also along for the day’s fun on set.

The sequel in the hugely successful franchise also sees the return of some familiar faces: Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames and Alec Baldwin all return from the previous film though sadly due to his commitments with Avengers: Infinity War and it’s sequel, Jeremy Renner was unable to reprise his role.

We also have a couple of new recruits in the form of Superman himself, Henry Cavill and The Crown star Vanessa Kirby who have joined the cast.

McQuarrie, who has worked with Cruise on many of his previous projects including both Jack Reacher films and Edge of Tomorrow, is the first director to return to the franchise since its inception. Brian de Palma, John Woo, J.J. abrams and Brad Bird handled directing duties over the first four films.

Not much is known just yet about the plot of the film but we are already super excited for the new sequel, but what can Cruise and co do to top the last film as well as it’s superb opening sequence? We shall have to wait to find out,

Mission: Impossible 6 opens on July 28th, 2018
