Thor:-The-Dark-World-Comic-Con-PosterMarvel never fail to bring something awesome with them to Comic-Con, and we expect this year to be no different. Last year, the studio brought Iron Man 3 with them; the year before, it was The Avengers. And this year, we can look forward to seeing Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier out in San Diego over the weekend.

Continuing their trend of releasing free concept art posters at the convention, Marvel have announced that they’ll be giving out free copies of concept art posters for Thor: The Dark World, designed by Charlie Wen, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, designed by Ryan Meinerding. The artwork for Cap 2 is the same piece of concept art that we saw last week, with Wen’s take on Thor giving us a look at our eponymous hero soaring through the sky.

Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans will of course be front and centre, reprising their roles as Thor and Steve Rogers / Captain America. And I can’t wait to see them back alongside new and familiar faces in the next two instalments in the franchise.

If you’re heading out to San Diego this week, you can pick up your free posters from the Marvel Booth (#2329) on preview night the day after tomorrow, Wednesday July 17th.

Continuing Phase Two in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thor: The Dark World is next in line after Iron Man 3, hitting the big screen on October 30th in the UK, following shortly after on November 8th in the US. Captain America: The Winter Soldier will then be hitting the multiplex a few months later, slated for release on April 4th, 2014.
